Responsibilities:
The Sr. Data Analyst exercises independent judgment and discretion as they collect, analyze, and interpret health data, report actionable and data-driven insights to leadership, and make recommendations regarding additional data that should be collected, analyzed, and interpreted to ensure the organization is able to make informed decisions. This position will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure data-driven approaches support patient care, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. The individual in this position should have a strong background in health data analytics, healthcare systems, and data visualization tools, and must be able to independently fulfill their responsibilities with minimal oversight. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a healthcare or health systems environment.

Proven track record of working with large, complex healthcare datasets such as EMRs, claims data, or clinical registries.

Experience with data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analytics programming languages.

Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD, CPT, SNOMED).

Familiarity with healthcare operations, including population health, care management, and hospital workflows.

Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

Relevant certifications in healthcare analytics, data science, or related areas are a plus (e.g., CHDA, SAS, or AWS Certified Data Analytics).

Experience working in large-scale healthcare systems or hospital settings.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $66,560.00 to $(phone number removed) on an annualized basis. The compensation estimate noted above is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skill-set, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
