Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for providing patient care in the Neuropsychiatric Center's Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program. Position is responsible for working collaboratively with the treatment team in order to meet the individualized treatment plans established for each patient. Required Qualifications: Skills to interpret and implement hospital, The Joint Commission, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum 1 year experience as a Psychiatric Technician Licensed Psychiatric Technician in the State of California Knowledge of psychotropic medications and affects Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, as well as alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to situations Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a mental health clinical setting, with the mentally ill Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Licenses and Certifications: PSYTCH BLS Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
