Position Title: Tennis Cleaner

Department: Housekeeping

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Directly Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Indirectly Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Tennis Cleaner, your role is integral in maintaining our tennis facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring that our tennis courts and surrounding areas are spotless and well-maintained, providing an exceptional playing experience for our members and guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regularly clean and maintain all tennis and pickleball courts to ensure they are free of debris, dust, and any foreign substances that may affect play.
  • Inspect courts for damage or safety hazards and report any major issues to the appropriate department for repairs.
  • Assist in minor court maintenance tasks.
  • Keep the area around the tennis courts clean, including walkways, spectator areas, and seating.
  • Maintain and store cleaning equipment, ensuring it is clean and in working condition.
  • Manage the collection, cleaning, and distribution of towels, robes, and linens used in the locker rooms and spa area.
  • Ensure the locker rooms and Jacuzzi are kept immaculate, organized, and in excellent working condition.
  • Monitor and replenish amenities, towels, and toiletries to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all Tennis Club facilities.
  • Ensure the security and safety of the locker room and spa facilities, reporting any incidents or security concerns promptly.
  • Work closely with team members to coordinate cleaning and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout Riviera.
  • Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor when interacting with members and guests.
  • Provide information or assistance as needed, enhancing their overall experience.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager that reasonably falls within the scope of the position and department.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Physical fitness for bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of tennis court maintenance and equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a courteous demeanor.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demanding schedules.
  • Professionalism, poise, and a positive attitude, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of the country club industry or hospitality sector (preferred, not required).
  • Valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record required.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

GROOMING

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per club standards.

Uniform must be worn while at work and on premises.


OTHER

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.


Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.




Compensation details: 20-20 Hourly Wage
