If so, we want you to put your Pilot or WSO/CSO/NFO/Sensor Operator experience to work and join our team as a Principal Flight Simulation Trainer (level 3) or Sr Principal Flight Simulation Trainer (level 4) to be located in Palmdale, CA or Chantilly, VA. Your duties include: Develop operating procedures to be employed during simulation and/or flight training. Update and revise technical manuals based on engineering input and operator feedback. Review mission planning processes for incorporation into training materials. Conduct quality review of materials. NGSkills Basic Qualifications: This position may be hired as a Principal or Sr Principal level. Principal: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Pilot and/or WSO/CSO/NFO Sensor Operator and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience may also be considered. Sr Principal: A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience as a Pilot and/or WSO/CSO/NFO Sensor Operator and a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience may also be considered. Thorough knowledge and understanding of aviation/flight publications. Ability to coordinate with engineers, analyze raw technical data, and utilize subject matter experts to draft operations manuals under very general supervision. Ability to gain proficiency with Astoria, Arbortext, and/or other similar technical writing and editing software. Experience conducting training in a flight/simulator environment. A current Top Secret DoD security clearance. Ability to obtain and retain special program access clearance within 365 days from submission. Ability to complete initial qualification training within 365 days from program access.
Preferred Qualifications: Military aviation experience (Pilot/WSO/CSO/NFO/Sensor Operator). Experience in drafting flight/operations manuals. Experience in Instructional Systems Design.Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
Salary Range 2: $120,900 - $181,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
