Job description

Looking for a Senior IT Services Technician to lead local IT operations to ensure a high-quality technology experience for lawyers, staff, practice groups, and clients. This role requires a broad technical background to support and troubleshoot a range of technology solutions, including end-user devices, office equipment, and conferencing technologies, while combining technical expertise with strong customer service skills.

Description

  • Supports the IT Regional Manager by ensuring responsive and proactive IT services, improving the Firm's technology solutions.
  • Provides L1/L2 support locally, handles IT service calls, and manages the life cycle of technology for end-users and regional offices.
  • Configures and deploys devices, participates in proactive maintenance, and supports technology needs for facility upgrades and special projects.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, supports service measurement, and collaborates with IT teams on problem remediation and knowledge documentation.
  • Manages maintenance contracts, supports junior staff, and maintains professionalism and good attendance while adapting to changing priorities and new tasks.

Profile

  • A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant technical certifications (e.g., MCSE, Cisco CCNA).
  • Requires 5+ years of experience, ideally in a large law firm or similar professional services organization, with proficiency in operating systems, software, and end-user device troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PC imaging, hardware configurations, AV conferencing technologies, and networking equipment is necessary, including secure LAN infrastructure and remote systems.
  • Must have the ability to work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and use hand tools, while interacting professionally with users and suppliers.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and a service-oriented approach are essential, with the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a technical team.
