The Senior Accountant will contribute to a world-class finance team in a rapid growth and emerging environment. To be effective, you will need operational accounting experience and an eagerness to support all aspects of accounting. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills are essential. This is a highly visible position requiring that confidentiality be maintained.

This role is immensely important, and you will serve as an integral member of our finance team. You will need to be an enthusiastic and hands-on individual who enjoys a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Your activities will include:

Perform day-to-day processing of accounts receivable transactions such as billings and credit memos.

Enter contracts in the Order Management system and work with the Alliance Management team for the inventory pick release process.

Process daily cash receipts including credit card, ACH, and wire payments as needed.

Generate and send out invoices.

Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.

Carry out billing, collections, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.

Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations and close processes.

Assist with interim and annual audits and period-end management reporting.

Identify opportunities for process improvements or automation.

Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Intrinsic motivation, curiosity, persistence, and collaboration will be critical to thrive in this role. You will partner and problem-solve with colleagues across several business teams. Interest and passion for the company's goal to improve patient care will serve you well in your work.

You'll have the opportunity to grow along with Guardant Health, as we grow in our current markets, develop new products, and expand into new product lines and new markets.

You bring excellent interpersonal skills to the role: communication, empathy, and relationship building. In addition, you have strong written capabilities, analytic skills, and good attention to detail. Having fun at work is also important to us, and we like our colleagues to have passion, and humor and to enjoy life.
