Role Summary:
As a Sr. Business Analyst in the Service Business Operations team, you will be responsible to support the operational planning needs of the Service organization. The Service Business Operations team works across the organization to use data to inform and aid in the strategic planning and operational decisions in how we allocate resources to support Rivian in its growth. As a Business Analyst, you will partner with various stakeholders and decision-makers across the Service Operations, Finance, and Strategy organizations, compiling and evaluating different initiatives and highlighting the pros and cons of each strategy that the service organization can take. Excellent communication skills and storytelling is essential to present findings to upper management in a clear and concise manner. The Sr. Business Analyst, Service Operations will also play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, including data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. A primary responsibility will be to communicate business requirements effectively to ensure data-driven solutions aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. The talented individual contributor will be evaluated on your ability to influence your teammates with your recommendations and the operational planning and improvements with the entire Service organization here at Rivian!

Responsibilities:
An ideal candidate is an analysis expert and builds deep contextual and domain knowledge who leverages a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information

Design and build stable planning models with stakeholders, then works with our engineering team to automate and scale the stabilized models into live dashboards

Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards that will support our business needs (Tableau and/or Advanced Excel)

Perform deep data investigation and analyze trends that inform forecasts to answer business questions that lead to insights and actionable outcomes

Analyze complex business goals, objectives, and needs using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers

Develop and present data informed presentations (Google slides/Powerpoint) autonomously, including storyline, executive summary, charts & content

Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop, and implement planning models and KPIs which are focused on driving efficiency within the business

Lead cross functional teams and forums to launch new program initiatives, within Rivian's Service Operations, and assess costs and benefits in scenario planning

Drive opportunities for improvements, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement of processes, standards, systems, tools, and workflows

Perform additional projects upon request

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative major, advanced degree is preferred

5 years of proven experience in a data-driven environment, with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies

An ability to create dashboards or slide decks to tell a story using data including visualizations (Tableau, Powerpoint, Google Slides)

Advanced data modeling and visualization skills (Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau)

Concise verbal and written communication; ability to synthesize information into key points

Strong analytical and problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems into manageable components

Working knowledge of SQL and Python is preferred

Previous experience in management consulting firm, start-up, or in a service operations organization

Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day

Required to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail

Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations

Pay Disclosure:
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107,800 to $146,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
