Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sr Manager, Infrastructure & Technology is a hands-on management role responsible for overseeing the core IT infrastructure and client technologies for the company. This includes the engineering, design, and build of the data & voice networks, server administration, database & operating systems, public/hybrid cloud environments, and client technologies. They will also be responsible for developing the IT infrastructure standards, strategy & roadmap to securely support a growing CPG manufacturing company. In coordination with other parts of IT & the business, they will be responsible for the development & implementation of disaster recovery plans & procedures.
Strategy and Leadership
Align technology roadmap with organizational objectives, integrating business processes with innovative technologies.
Collaborate with IT management and business partners to devise multi-year plans for technology transformation and continuous delivery.
Lead and directs the work of others in the following areas: Infrastructure
Network
Cloud and hosted environments
End-user technology, including hardware and software for client devices.
Cybersecurity
Networking, Infrastructure, End User technologies:
Ensure the reliability and efficiency of our networking systems and end user systems.
Manage network configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, and other infrastructure components supporting both networking and end-user technologies.
Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Hybrid / Cloud Management:
Design and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Oversee deployment and management of AWS and Azure services.
Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.
Implement and manage cloud security policies and procedures.
Lead efforts to migrate existing systems to the cloud.
Security and Compliance:
Maintain and update IT security measures to safeguard against data breaches and cyber threats.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and others.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Drive employee awareness training and initiatives.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Develop and control opex and capex budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
Authorize hardware/software purchases and oversee deployment.
Conduct cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives and negotiate vendor contracts for compliance.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
Direct technology infrastructure activities to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
Implement technology initiatives aligned with business goals and GRC objectives.
Understand key regulations and standards pertinent to AK business, such as the Food Safety Modernization Act, SQF, HIPAA, and PCI, and ensure solutions and services meet and comply with requirements.
Project Delivery & Program Management
Plan and manage a portfolio of large-scale IT projects, overseeing project teams.
Lead process testing for implementations and changes.
Drive planning and budgeting processes for program activities.
Manage budgets and spend for functional areas.

Oversee hosting/network, client technologies, and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and/or Experience
A college degree in any engineering discipline or computer science is required.
A master's degree in computer science, information systems, computer management or MBA is desired.
At least 12 years of relevant experience is required, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Prior experience in implementing ITIL or ITSM, or other process improvement methods.
Prior ISP/ASP (Internet Service Provider/Application Service Provider) hosting, or cloud experience is required.
Technical/Functional Skills
Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, PCs, mobile devices, and cloud-based solutions like Microsoft 365.
Experience in advanced security and compliance services such as Windows Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office365Service Management.
Hands on experience managing client devices using Microsoft EndPoint Management, including Intune and Autopilot
Proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and methodologies, such as Freshservice, including incident management, problem management, and service request fulfillment.
Asset Management: Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets.
Cloud Solutions: Knowledge of administering cloud-based services, particularly Office 365 and Identity Management systems.
Vendor Management: Experience in negotiating with vendors, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Project Management: Proven ability to lead IT projects from conception to completion, including ITSM transformation projects and other technology initiatives.
Budget Management: Competence in developing and managing capital and operational budgets, with accurate forecasting and cost optimization.

Training and Development: Experience in creating and delivering IT training programs and maintaining knowledge management systems.
Travel
This position requires approximately 5% travel for occasional program activities.
