Salary Range - $60.00 to $65.00 per hour Location - Port Hueneme, CA on site (not remote) Duration - This position is 4.5 months with the possibility of continuing Clearance - Secret Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer specializing in Cyber Systems to design, implement, maintain, and support our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, firewalls, and VPN technologies to ensure the overall security and integrity of our network systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience working as a Network Engineer with a focus on Cyber Systems. Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, firewall technologies, and VPN solutions. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are a plus. Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain secure network systems to meet the organization's needs. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on network-related issues. Skills Ability to perform the configuration of switches, routers, and firewalls is crucial for this position. Configuration/knowledge of WAN and LAN networks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
