Job description

Responsibilities As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will: Collaborate with RNs regarding patients medications, physical status, psychological well being and Plan of Care. Implement and monitor patients detoxification protocols. Administer medications according to physician orders and safe medication administration practices. Provide patient education regarding medications and treatments. Communicate patients concerns, outcomes, needs and status to the nursing team. Demonstrate ability to use various forms of therapeutic communication when interacting with patients. Demonstrate the ability to work as a productive member of the nursing team. Demonstrate knowledge of the Twelve Step Program. Qualifications Required Vocational or technical training One year experience in acute care setting Must be 18 years of age or older Current CPR/AED certification CA LVN license and current registration Minimum 2 years Freedom from Chemical Dependency Overview The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is the largest nonprofit addiction recovery organization in the United States.
