Job description

Position Description The EW CAPE Lead Engineer will work in concert with the prime Co-lead across all SETR, Air System Integration Review -Agile activities, to include and not limited to Working Groups (WG), Technical Information Meetings (TIMs). etc. This person as the JPO EW CAPE Lead shall be covering work to be accomplished by creating and/or providing oversight of contractual requirements (e.g. Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, etc.) into execution of the contractual processes to support the development and testing of the EW Capabilities. Position Duties/Responsibilities The EW CAPE Lead Engineer performs tasking in realizing both the local NAWCWD F-35 IPT and the JPO Strategic Plan. The engineer carries out the full range of combined technical and administrative direction as demonstrated by performing the following: 1. The EW CAPE Lead Engineer carries out the full range of combined technical and administrative direction in all Tier 1/2/3 Level requirements decomposition. 2. Ensure all requirements (at IPT Level) are properly translated/decomposed from the government Systems Requirement Document (SRD) and negotiated with the vendor's Air System/Air Vehicle/Mission Systems Requirements Work Package (RWP) during Air System RWP External Walk Through; 3. Plan work for the gates and milestones by translating Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Tactics Technique Procedures (TTPs), Capability Development Document (CDD), Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Operations Requirements Document (ORD), System Requirements Document (SRD), Requirements Work Package (RWP), Performance Based Specification (PBS), Verification Cross Reference Requirements Matrix (VCRM), Software Description Document (SDD) Functional Requirements Specification (FRS), etc., into the verification/validation of these contractual requirements to be government validated and verified during modeling/simulation and/or executable tests (e.g. flight, ground, lab, etc.); 4. Support System Requirements Review (SRR), System Functional Review (SFR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), Interim Process Reviews (IPR), Program Increment (PI) Planning Events, etc; 5. Provide Source Data as Required For Airworthiness and Certification; 6. Review and approve Verification Acceptance Plan (VAP); 7. Advise on Cautions, Notes and Warnings and Full Scale Development (FSD) content as required; 8. Track and report impacts to the EW Capabilities schedule, performance, risks and costs independent of the prime's Co-lead duties; 9. Track and report the EW Capabilities Software Problem Action Reports (SPARS) and Deficiency Reports (DRs) independent of the prime's Co-lead duties; 10. Establish and cohort independent government assessment by means of independent government testing (M&S, Laboratory, Flight, Ranges) to verify/validate the EW CAPE contractual requirements. MEETINGS/EVENTS: 1. Review Scorecard and Plan Of Action Measurement (POAM) 2. Coordinate amongst Capability Team Resulting in Desired Agile Product Content 3. Attend SETR Events 4. Understand progress of Use Case development through developmental tools (Review Scorecard and POAM) 5. Identify, track and elevate All Development Risks Minimum Salary 91,254 Maximum Salary 141,064
