Job description

Position Description Provides software expertise as part of the flight software team to oversee the Contractor's software development efforts across the Software Development Life Cycle. Provides Modeling and simulation expertise in support of simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A). The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Evaluation and trace of software requirements according to specs of a given Software build. Participate in design reviews and provide analysis and feedback on software design. Participate in software testing including providing input during test planning, test plan reviews, procedure reviews, overseeing test execution and reviewing test reports. Software testing will be conducted at the individual software CSCI level and at the integrated software system (i.e. missile) level using all-software Models & Simulations (M&S) and/or actual hardware. Review and provide feedback on software change request (aka Features). Supporting meetings as directed by the team Lead, Functional Area Lead, Chief Engineer and/or Program Manager. Support may include presenting software development status and risks. Providing Software reports, briefs, issue papers, etc. as requested by the team Lead, Functional Area Lead, Chief Engineer and/or Program Manager. Participate as the co-chair with the Contractor in All-Up-Round Simulation Control Panel meetings to review simulation accreditation documentation and test results in support of accreditation requests. Support the Tomahawk System Safety team for software system safety. Interface with Contractor's software product owners. Minimum Salary 101,121 Maximum Salary 156,323
