Job description

The Janitor-Floor Tech is responsible for performing floor maintenance duties and custodial services in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Will perform a full range of floor care maintenance and custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities with the government contract to include both routine maintenance as well as non-routine assignments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Basic Janitorial duties including, but not limited to sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms.
Floor care maintenance duties for small and large facilities such as carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing, and spray and buffs.
Building and floors will be maintained so as to be in compliance with contract standards and present a clean and sightly appearance.
Operating floor care machinery and other basic janitorial equipment
Maintain equipment and supply.
Moving furniture before and after cleaning
Follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
Independently work as well as part of a team
Regular customer interaction during performance of services
May be required to drive to outlying areas.
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and management team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications and Experience: Must have valid California Drivers License or obtain one before start date.
Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
Successfully pass a background investigation for the base.
Must have the ability to obtain security clearance and submit all required documents through the government program (e-QIP) before start date.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Physical stamina
Attention to detail
Floor maintenance experience required (preferred two years)
Completion of on the job training and safety program
Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals, bodily fluids and communicable and infectious disease.
Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
