Primary Responsibility / Summary
Assists drivers in loading and unloading of new merchandise and corporate donated goods. Performs a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the new merchandise & corporate donated goods department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading of new merchandise purchased orders from vendors, new merchandise transfer orders to stores and corporate donated goods.
- Scan, process and research new merchandise & corporate donation shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes.
- Pick, pack & ship weekly new merchandise distribution to stores using RF Scanner software.
- Ensure new merchandise is priced before distributed to stores.
- Weekly cycle counts to ensure on hand inventory is accurate using RF Scanner software.
- Operate equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, forklift, etc.) by following established procedures and guidelines.
- Clean, organize and sweep the new merchandise and corporate donation area of the warehouse to ensure a safe environment.
Education & Experience
- 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision.
- Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Excellent people skills and maintains courteous disposition at all times.
- Ability to following written and oral instruction consistently.
- Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.
