AG Regional Instrument and Electrical Technician

Rodeo, CA

12 Months

Work Schedule + Time Zone: 7 am - 4 pm PST

Pay rate:$38.40/hr - $48/hr

Candidates should have electrical technician and instrumentation experience .

candidate should have experience using gauge's , power gauge's, calibration etc.,

Any CMMS experience can be acceptable ( Maximo CMMS is preferred)

candidate will work on low voltage devices.

candidates from Electrical technician programs are preferred.

Instrument / Electrical Technician position is responsible for day to day maintenance

and reliable operation of instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical systems.

Job responsibilities include:

Participate in the Life Critical Safety program

Support and comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Support and comply with all process safety management practices and operate within

the established quality systems, reporting any deficiency

Make suggestions to improve plant safety, efficiency and quality.

Troubleshoot plant instrument/electrical and control system problems.

Execute work orders, identify corrective maintenance activities & enter work orders

and PM s into the Maximo CMMS.

Participate in the execution & improvement of the facility s I&E PMs.

Maintain test equipment calibration & associated records.

Perform analyzer calibrations as required.

Maintain equipment records in both the CMMS & written form.

Work closely with contractors & monitor contractor work quality.

Rack in/out breakers & switchgear as necessary.

Maintain facility documentation (P&ID, loop sheets, spec sheets, etc.) for approved

changes

I&E Technician

Perform routine inspections on equipment as per Reliability Center standards.

Actively participate in root cause analysis reviews.

Assist Maintenance Coordinator in maintaining equipment manuals

Be familiar with Reliability, Maintenance, & Corporate standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Requirements:

High School Diploma (2 year technical degree preferred)

Minimum 4 years I&E experience

Knowledge of the use of a computerized maintenance management system

Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google tools

Strong verbal & written communication skills

Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks & prioritize work

Ability to maintain, repair, and calibrate analyzers, transmitters, control valves, etc.

Basic understanding of the facility s control system

Thorough knowledge of the operation and safety aspects of the MCC/switchgear

An understanding of the facility's process

Physical Requirement:

Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs

Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate

Ability to climb and ascend vertical ladders as required

Ability to enter and work in confined spaces

On call nights, weekends and holidays as required
