Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Operations Director, the Finance and Compliance Deputy Director oversees the functions associated grants management, budget and policy analysis, and federal and state fiscal compliance. The incumbent is responsible for operations associated with the supervision of fiscal grants management staff, fiscal compliance staff, and projects that leverage federal AmeriCorps funds, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, state General Fund, and State Fiscal Recovery Funds (SFRF). Additionally, the CEA manages elements of the department's budget, supporting the development and tracking of department-level budgets across Governor's Office of Service and Community Engagement (GO-Serve), strategic and budgetary planning and implementation, initiative development and operationalization, and organizational growth, change management, and general state operations support. NOTE: Training & Development (T&D) assignments will not be considered for this recruitment. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement. Working Conditions Persons appointed to this position must be reasonably expected to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. This position may be eligible to participate in OPR's hybrid telework schedule. Participation in Telework is subject to OPR's guidelines. Occasional/overnight travel up to 20% may be required. All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
