Job Overview:
Shriners Children's Northern California is currently seeking a EVS Manager to oversee our Environmental Services Department.

This position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $82,200 - $123,300/year. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities:
The Environmental Services Manager is responsible to plan, direct, and manage the day-to-day activities of Environmental Services staff; to assure provision of quality environmental services and the provision of linen in accordance with established policies and procedures; to act as a resource to staff, patients, families and the general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility; and management of grounds and indoor plant inventory.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensure quality Environmental / Housekeeping and Linen Services

Manage staff (hiring, staffing, training, evaluating)

Maintain inventory, ordering supplies

Vendor relations

Function set up

Qualifications:
Requirements

High School graduate/GED

5 years Supervisory experience in institutional Housekeeping

Healthcare experience

The ability to provide effective management and leadership to assigned staff. Gather appropriate data, analyze alternative courses of action, and make recommendations with justifications. Perform assigned duties in compliance with safety, health, and infection control standards, policies and procedures utilizing universal precautions. Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties Communicate effectively, tactfully, and persuasively in both oral and written form. Problem Solve

Knowledge of Environmental Services related equipment and supplies used in a hospital setting.

Ability to operate equipment (buffers, vacuums, extractors, etc.) in a manner that is safe to self and others.
