Job Overview

Join our vibrant team in the heart of Sacramento, where you will oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of our facilities and equipment. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high operational standards and achieving our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Champion safety by working closely with the EHS Manager to maintain a secure work environment.

Participate in the specification, selection, procurement, and installation of production equipment.

Manage contractor safety and coordinate their activities effectively.

Maintain optimal inventory levels for spare parts and manage the timely replacement of outdated components.

Plan and execute preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

Oversee the maintenance of grounds, buildings, and parking facilities.

Lead and mentor maintenance technicians through comprehensive training programs.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Ensure the functionality and regular testing of security, fire, and emergency systems.

Approve maintenance-related invoices and purchase orders.

Monitor utilities and implement energy-saving strategies.

Act as a liaison among maintenance, manufacturing, contractors, and engineering teams.

Manage internal maintenance work orders and external vendor engagements.

Set staff performance goals and conduct annual evaluations.

Promote a culture of safety and adherence to EHS policies.

Embody and nurture company core values, contributing to a high-performance culture.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Strive to meet or exceed plant business plans and key performance indicators.

Integrate continuous improvement initiatives into the plant's culture.

Experience & Skills

Proficiency in industrial mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic operations.

Experience in enhancing preventative maintenance systems.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to troubleshoot in a plastics processing environment is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools.

Strong leadership skills for managing projects and personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or engineering fields is strongly preferred.

At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.

Minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
