Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and driving sales growth for our flexible packaging solutions. While experience in flexible packaging is preferred, candidates with a background in other types of packaging are also encouraged to apply.

We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of packaging technology and design, and we are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our presence in the Western region. This person can be located anywhere in the West.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target potential clients within the Western region. Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company's client base.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Proposal and Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals to clients, negotiate terms and conditions, and close deals. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are aligned with client requirements and company capabilities.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use insights to drive strategic decision-making and inform product development.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment between client needs and company offerings. Provide feedback on market demands and product performance.

  • Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and strategic initiatives.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the packaging industry. Experience with flexible packaging is preferred, but experience in other packaging sectors will be considered.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Strong understanding of the packaging industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to travel as needed within the Western region.
