In this role, you will be responsible for sales in California, aiming to meet personal sales targets across our complete range of products. The Sales Representative will focus on profitable new business development while fostering growth in existing accounts.

This company is looking to an expand independent manufacturer of corrugated containers, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative in California.

Description

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals focused on profitable growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow existing accounts and find new opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new business leads in your territory.
  • Close new deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Co-lead key initiatives for major accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams as needed.
  • Build strong client relationships to inform product and pricing strategies.
  • Focus on personal development in sales skills like negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Work with local management to explore opportunities across other plants.
  • Partner with customer service to ensure customer specifications are well-documented and communicated.
  • Provide analysis for sales forecasts and budget planning.
  • Share market insights and pricing recommendations with management to support account profitability.
  • Assist with credit and collections efforts in line with company policies.
  • Manage your travel and entertainment expenses within the budget.
  • Seek ways to reduce costs and improve profit margins in accounts.

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Sales Representative position is a motivated sales professional with solid experience in the corrugated packaging industry. Key attributes include:

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years in B2B sales, specifically in corrugated packaging.

  • Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets while focusing on profitability.

  • Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills to develop lasting client relationships.
