Duties This position requires military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG) Selected applicant(s) will be required to complete an online Onboarding process. Requirements Conditions of Employment NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the mandatory training specifically identified for the position. Loss of military membership will result in immediate loss of your full-time military technician position. Excepted Civil Service Technicians are required to maintain a MOS/AFSC and military grade that is determined by the NGB to be compatible with the assigned technician position. Acceptance of any military technician position may cause the termination of entitlements and eligibility for all military bonuses and student loan repayments. Must be able to obtain and maintain the Government Travel Credit Card (GTC) as a condition of employment. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Must possess or be able to obtain the proper SECRET security clearance type and level within one year of appointment according to DoD Personnel Security Program Management Directives. Qualifications IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This position requires military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG). If you are not a military member of the PRARNG (i.e., Airman, civilian, active-duty Soldier, prior service, guard member from another state, reservist, IRR, State Guard, etc.), you must contact the Recruiting and Retention (R&R) Office at extension 2015 or 2008 and request the PRARNG Military Basic Requirements (MBR) Certification. If the MBR certification is not submitted, or you do not meet the requirements to be a member of the PRARNG, your application will not be screened. DUTIES: As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (D),GS-2005-9, you will serve as Property Book Officer and be responsible for the management of organizational property accounts. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year at next lower-level GS-07 or the equivalent TWENTY-FOUR (24) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management for the property book operations of the organization in the areas. Maintaining property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property. Coordinating with the USPFO and subordinate units of the division the lateral transfer and/or turn-in of excess property. Coordinating the processing of backorder reconciliations and equipment status profiles. Establishing administrative procedures and oversees the flow of documents and reports through the Property Book Office to assure complete, accurate, and timely submission of data. Performing continuing analysis of the property accounting and equipment status reporting system to assure data provided is complete, accurate and timely. Education SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for 3 months of specialized experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. Courses must be directly related to the work of the position. Copy of official/student transcripts showing conferred Degree must be included in order to receive credit for education. Unofficial transcripts from internet or with alterations will not be considered. To receive credit for education the information must be included in the education section of the Resume.
