SALARY RANGE: $32 - $38
Monday-Friday 8-5 pm
another with Weekends 10 am - 6:30 pm super flexible with hours


Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees and provides direct nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Director, and in consultation with the Physician Assistant.
• Conducting admissions of clients including orientation, intake assessment, urine screen, medication management, protocols and recurring assessments, secure search/storage of personal property.
• Hourly adherence to Joint Commission and DHCS client care standards.
• Communicating with physician, entering physician orders, and following physician orders in overseeing client medication management.
• Proficient documentation in KIPU Systems client management software.
• Documenting client daily progress.
• Facility walk-throughs and maintaining control of care environment establishing a consistent presence and awareness of client behavior.
• Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with members served
• Collects data relevant to care of members served; develops and implements nursing care plans
• Demonstrates knowledge of crisis management and intervention
• Transcribes physician orders accurately and in a timelymanner
• Administers medication and treatments to members served
• Receives and presents change of shift report as assigned
• Adheres to medication management policies and procedures
• Notifies the prescriber and nursing supervisor of any changes in behavior or condition
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings
• Coordinates and participates in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shift

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to support medical and bio-psycho-social care for members served
• Ability to administer oral and injectable medications
• Ability to act as a team member and provide input via reporting observations and concerns and asking appropriate questions
• Active and non-restricted LVN license required
• 1-2 years' experience in the field of recovery or equivalent human services work experience preferred.
• Prior experience in detox environment highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to implement physical crisis and de-escalation techniques

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Graduation from an accredited LVN program and current licensure
• Current CPR certificate
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have reasonable mental and physical ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties, responsibilities and qualifications listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. The employee is occasionally required to sit, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less as well as to frequently walk, stand, bend, reach and do simple and power grasping. The position requires manual deviation, repetition and dexterity as well as Hazardous Exposure (Blood Borne Pathogens, Hospital Waste, and Chemical & Infectious).
