Overview:
The salary range for this position is $17.00 - $31.78, however salary is not expected to pass $22.49 per hour. Range is dependent upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.

Global Campus serves as a principal University liaison with the greater San Diego community and provides a wide variety of traditional and nontraditional, credit and noncredit educational experiences designed to fit the lifestyle and expectations of international students, working adults and other lifelong learners. In addition, Global Campus provides a range of academic and special programs for individuals and groups at various times, in various locations, and via various modalities, including technology-based programs. Global Campus's primary audiences include workforce, military, working adults and international constituencies.

The Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for carrying out administrative support operations and assisting in accomplishing the day to day administrative objectives in support of SDSU Global Campus programs, including Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs and Global Campus Professional Certificate programs and by personally performing the more difficult and responsible administrative support functions. Assignments and projects are varied and complex with longer work cycles and may require specialized knowledge. This position mostly supports Global Campus Program Managers and Directors and actively contributes to document tracking, process improvement and problem solving. Responsibilities:
The Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities 80%

This position involves extensive data entry. Coordinate with the Global Campus data entry team to ensure course information and schedules are entered into appropriate databases in a timely and accurate manner.

Complete, review, route and track a variety of programmatic documents (to include but not limited to course approval forms, contracts and agreements, instructor contracts) for accuracy and approvals.

Prepare and provide faculty contracts; maintain files and monitor receipt of program documents.

Facilitate instructor onboarding, when applicable, with San Diego State University (SDSU) Human Resources.

Coordinate with Global Campus Programs team to issue certificates of completion.

Responsible for day to day administrative duties related to the planning, coordination, implementation and administration of program operations and communication and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders including campus partners, faculty, and students.

Establish methods of performing assigned tasks; coordinate work-flow and set priorities and deadlines (subject to supervisor/lead approval) to meet deadlines.

Ensure timely and accurate information sharing related to program needs.

Customer Service 10%

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and faculty/instructors by researching, resolving, and responding to customer service issues within an acceptable business timeframe.

Develop a broad understanding of SDSU and SDSU Global Campus policies, procedures and processes to ensure timely support for stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications:
Knowledge & Abilities

Extensive data entry experience and a keen eye for detail.

Thorough written and oral communication skills, including English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.

Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion and initiative to address situations and develop solutions.

Ability to perform standard business math.

Competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions.

Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Must be able to work independently and interdependently including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling workflow, and be accountable for work to achieve excellent results.

Minimum Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

4-years of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment

Data entry experience

Preferred Qualifications & Special Skills

Associate's Degree or 2 years of college/university coursework or equivalent work experience; work experience may be substituted at a rate of 2 years' experience for each year of college/university coursework.

Extensive data entry experience experience inputting and transposing data to and from multiple sources.

Demonstrated success in coordinating projects and tasks.

Candidate must reside in California and live in a commutable distance from SDSU at time of hire.
