Job description
AITM Qualifications:
• Current Final/Active SECRET clearance;
• Six (6) years' of experience with US Navy afloat C4I systems architecture, installation, integration, testing, and briefing project status;
• Six (6) years' of experience with Fleet Modernization process stakeholders and organizational relationships;
• Six (6) years' of experience reviewing Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs); and
• Six (6) years' of experience with reviewing and developing, technical correspondence, reports, documents, drawings, and/or analyses.
AITM - support functions
Review existing vessel class C4ISR configurations and monitor emergent system requirements and solutions. Track, review, and provide comments on all documents, configuration changes, and baseline data capture associated with the specified platform hull specific Baseline configurations;
Provide technical guidance to help resolve complex ship and submarine industrial problems during Ships Alterations (SHIPALT's), and remediation services for identified C4I systems;
Coordinate the execution of all aspects of shipboard installations, including (a) monitoring and tracking production status of installations, (b) ensuring compliance with safety, security and HAZMAT regulations and (c) ensuring compliance applicable Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard procedures; and coordinating SOVT;
Perform pre-planning for assigned tasks, and providing progress and status report to the OSIC and Government Execution Lead, including:
Provide support, input, and assist with coordination between initiatives where interdependencies are critical;
Participate in site visits and ship checks;
Assist the Government in creating and updating installation Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M);
Assist with engineering disciplines for the development of new and existing C4ISR systems, development of significant alterations to existing systems, integration and interface of existing equipment into different applications or platforms to support the warfighter. Review AIT Work Control Packages to ensure installations conform and are compliant with NAVSEA Technical Specifications 9090-310 series and applicable instructions, and the applicable elements of the AMQAP. Develop test reports to ensure that system development addresses all requirements;
Perform shipboard installation drawing reviews;
Provide engineering support to design & design reviews, technical engineering studies and reports, design validation, and requirements development and validation to ensure systems are correctly installed to standards and specifications. Assist in ensuring design of required upgrades used best engineering practices, military and industry standards (see 3.1.6 above);
Coordinate the delivery of equipment & Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) material in support of assigned platforms (see 3.1.7 above);
Provide support in the area of development as required in administrative, logistics, performance, and technical meetings. Performing in-briefs to fleet forces senior management;
Conduct RMMCO check ins/outs; and
Observe and provide input and recommendations to the Government on AIT execution of alterations and upgrades with the objective of improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure AIT adheres to safety, technical, environmental, and production process requirements and discrepancies reported to the OSIC.
