Job description

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Electronics Material Officer (Senior Technical Specialist) in San Diego, CA. Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts ship visits to assist Commander Submarine Squadron Eleven Electronic Maintenance Officer CSS-11, EMO) in monitoring the operation and maintenance of the submarine systems on assigned units:
Assists the CSS-11 EMO with the following grooms, certifications, surveys and inspections as required to support deployed operations: ESM, Image and Photo certification
External Communications Suite (ECS) and Local Area Network (LAN) Grooms
Shipboard Electromagnetic Survey
Pre-POM and POM Sail Inspections
Coordinates with representatives from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego (PNS DET SD), Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Tech Support and other outside agencies.
Participates in scheduled production briefs, sail meetings and EMO Conferences
Manages TYCOM controlled RFI periscope and antenna assets maintained by the local IMF
Conducts performance monitoring of QDR's, TFBR's, CASREPS, metrics, configuration management, and monitor obsolescence of shipboard systems.
Oversees or monitors system technology improvements, equipment, technical documentation and failure documentation/data.
Coordinates, processes, and routes MOAs in support of electronics material troubleshooting, repair and coordination as directed by the incumbent EMO. General organizational interface will include but is not limited to: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Detachment San Diego), SPAWAR Charleston (ECS/LAN Groom), SSEP Hawaii (ESM/Photo Certification), Naval Media Center San Diego (Site TV), and NUWC Newport (EMI Groom).
Provides coordination in fleet technical support, integration of system experts, field testing, root cause, performance assessment, risk assessment and mitigation, planning and cost benefit analysis. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 15 years' experience in coordinating submarine communications systems maintenance
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security clearance
Ability to communicate well with superiors and peers
Ability to read technical manuals and repair standards
Ability to work well with minimal supervision
Proficient in use of related computer program/systems, Microsoft Office applications Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $90,000 - 105,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Ability to go aboard ships, barges and other naval craft

Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight
