Job description

The DevOps Engineer shall demonstrate competence with deployment automation in a DevSecOps environment, including the capability to diagnose and resolve container deployment issues. Possess hands-on experience in containerizing applications using Docker and Helm charts to define Kubernetes pods, networking services, and scaling strategies. Additionally, the role requires advanced skills in complex script development utilizing Shell Scripting, a solid understanding of GitLab pipelines for project management and practical knowledge of implementing Linux security hardening techniques. Performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, has great communication skills, works well independently and as part of a team, is passionate about his or her work and is eager to be part of a dynamic group of focused and creative individuals. The DevOps Engineer shall demonstrate superior competence in all technical aspects of software development and will be responsible for utilizing state-of-the-art tool suites and analytical techniques to analyze high level requirements, evaluate alternative approaches and synthesize the optimum solution approach. The position also requires writing and communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and working with both internal resources and external personnel in a coordinated effort. Required: Linux, AWS, Helm, NGA Core and OpenShift

The Successful Candidate will: Demonstratable hands-on, in- depth knowledge of GitLab and Shell Scripting Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum (5+) years of progressive hands-on experience; Excellent verbal communications skills; and Ability to work under deadline pressure as part of a team or autonomously. Salary Range: 90k - 160k. Employment is concentrated in San Diego, CA. This position requires US citizenship. Must pass a background investigation
