Job description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced Gas Turbine Instructor for employment at the Zumwalt Training Facility. This is a highly visible and challenging position at one of the most advanced engineering learning facilities in the world. In addition to teaching all DDG 1000-bound officers, chiefs, and crew, you will also serve as the Assistant Site Manager for Prevailance activities at the ZTF and the Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command in San Diego. Key Responsibilities:
Instruction: Deliver high-quality training on various Gas Turbine systems and related courses.
Assistant Site Management: Assist in managing Prevailance activities, ensuring effective training and operational excellence. Requirements
Relevant Experience: Twelve (12) years in Engineering Systems, with expertise in Gas Turbine Systems, including Electrical and Mechanical subsystems.
Recognized expert in Engineering Watch standing for Cruisers and Destroyers, with four (4) years of experience as an instructor in Shipboard Engineering processes and in developing other instructors.
Three (3) years of experience researching, reading, and applying technical specifications or tactical publications, with the ability to translate this content into instructional material.
Three (3) years of experience manipulating training systems to effectively present learning objectives. Instructor Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience in the subject matter being instructed.
Minimum of two (2) years in a Military Training Environment (these can overlap).
Certification: Certified as an instructor in the applicable functional area (e.g., NETC requirements). Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of learning principles, presentation methods, testing and remediation procedures, curriculum development, training aids, devices, electronic podiums, technical training equipment (TTE), lab equipment, and associated operation and maintenance procedures.
