Job Description

Essel is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate various types of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure the successful completion of our construction and environmental projects. This position requires a strong emphasis on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, etc. for multiple project applications.

Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure equipment is safe and functional.

Excavate, grade, and level earth in preparation for construction using appropriate techniques.

Communicate effectively with ground crew using hand signals and radios for safe operations.

Maintain equipment by performing minor maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to minimize workplace hazards.

Support project completion by assisting with other tasks as assigned by the site supervisor.

Heavy construction experience and work site digging.

Requirements

Qualifications

At least 3-5 (Willing to pay more for 5-10 years) years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or a related field.

Proven knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operations.

Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and project specifications.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Valid driver's license; certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
