Job description

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opportunity for a Jr. Software Engineer. The Jr. Software Developer will support the development of Digital Additive Manufacturing Enterprise (DAME) for Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) Pacific. DAME is a Navy-wide enterprise system that provides for the framework and workflows to accelerate development and deployment of a material system. This material system will be the result of an integration effort to provide for 3D Print Exchange and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities using networked systems worldwide that will ultimately provide for a 3-D Printing capability to both U.S. Navy CONUS and OCONUS ships/sites. Develop full stack application for Additive Manufacture to meet security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability requirements.
Develop in software stacks of JavaScript frontends frameworks and backends, python backends
Required to program in Python and Javascript
Write test software, test and debug new and existing code.
Work with team to develop software to meet customer evolving needs and requirements
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and cloud-native development
Understanding of security practices in software development, such as DevSecOps or Secure SDLC
Exposure to frontend build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm, Yarn)
Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Understanding of e-commerce features, such as shopping cart functionality and/or order management systems for development
Required to deploying software in a DoD environment, utilize best practices for Software Development Life Cycle
Payrate: $80,000 to $120,000 Annually REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
U.S. Citizenship status required
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
0-2+ years of experience with Javascript front-end frameworks
0-2+ years of experience with Python-based web frameworks for API development
0-2+ years of experience with JavaScript-based back-end frameworks
Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating them into applications
Familiarity with Git version control (GitHub, GitLab, or similar)
Experience using Docker for containerization or similar tools
Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Knowledge of JavaScript, ES6+ syntax, and asynchronous programming
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive web design
Basic understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect)
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with team and customers
