Volt is immediately hiring an Associate Manufacturing Engineer in San Diego, CA.
This is a great opportunity to work for a leading manufacturer in the area!
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

• Be responsible for manufacturing planning, manufacturing process continuous improvement, first article proofing, process/quality control, and new product design and development support.
• Develop detailed parts and assembly manufacturing plans and process requirements/operation instructions.
• Lead production quality investigation, resolution, and improvement, using statistical tools, like Minitab (SPC & Cpk) analysis.
• Support new product development for manufacturability.
• Create remanufacturing/rework plans.
• Drive continuous process improvement.

This is a full time, long term, contingent position.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Excellent communication, collaborative, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to support production schedules and be able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and SharePoint
• Familiar with dimensioned drawings/operation instruction sheets
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Turbomachinery, Steel components manufacturing experiences; assembly & testing
• 6 Sigma and Lean process training and project experiences
• Working experiences with CMM (coordinate measuring machine), NDT (non-destructive testing), and solid modelling.
• Knowledge and experience with Baan ERP.
• Experience with Windchill, SFIS, Minitab, Quicksilver.

Pay Rate: $30/hour-$39/hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
