Responsibilities:
Are you detail-oriented and analytical? Verus Specialty Insurance is looking for a meticulous Quality Review Auditor to join our team. As a leading Excess and Surplus Lines, Property & Casualty Insurance Company specializing in General Liability, Professional Liability, Excess, and Garage insurance, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in our underwriting and claims activities. Join us to ensure compliance, accuracy, and excellence in every aspect of our operations.

Thorough Audits: Conduct comprehensive audits of files managed by underwriters, underwriting assistants, claims adjusters, and clearance technicians to ensure adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Quality Assurance: Review underwriting decisions, clearance processes, and policy issuance for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all documentation, including risk assessments, policy terms, endorsements, exclusions, and claims documentation, meets our high standards.

Identify and Correct Deviations: Spot deviations from procedures and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure consistent underwriting and claims handling.

Detailed Reporting: Provide feedback through detailed audit reports and executive summaries, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Training: Work closely with underwriting and claims managers to discuss audit results, identify training needs, and develop opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain audit protocols to ensure continuous enhancement of our processes.

Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in underwriting, claims handling, and quality assurance.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

At least 5 years of experience in excess and surplus lines, property and casualty insurance underwriting, or quality assurance.

Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, insurance policies, and regulatory requirements.

Proven experience in conducting audits and reviews in a regulated environment.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey audit findings and recommendations.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
