Research Associate I-II, Discovery Chemistry - Oligonucleotide (Purification) Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our Discovery Chemistry-Oligonucleotide Team as a Research Associate I-II and work as part of a team to drive success. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, independent, and highly flexible within a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates as Research Associate I or II, Oligonucleotide Chemistry to join our discovery chemistry team to advance cutting-edge RNA editing drug discovery programs. Essential Responsibilities: Characterization and purification of novel oligonucleotides using HPLC and LCMS. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots HPLCs. Track progress against project timelines, generate regular status updates, and communicate progress and issues to management. Maintain updated and well-organized lab notebooks. Manage and maintain equipment, reagents and dedicated laboratory environment needed to carry out assignments. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with critical collaborative partners throughout the company. Maintain all appropriate corporate standards for lab safety and hazardous material management. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry degree with excellent understanding of organic and analytical chemistry. Experience working in a chemistry laboratory. Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, especially HPLC and/or LCMS. Self-motivated, detail oriented and excellent problem-solving ability. Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite Products. Required Key Attributes: Must be able to work independently with supervision as needed. Proficient at working independently as well as in cross-functional team settings. Understand project timelines and deliverables and plans/coordinate project work accordingly with departmental, functional, and external stakeholders. Adaptable / Flexible - willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities as well as an ability to meet day-to-day challenges with confidence and professionalism. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards exploring new approaches. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to take a hands-on approach to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry a plus. Previous experience with RNA/Oligonucleotide therapeutics is preferred but not essential. Compensation: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, occasional overtime. Pay is commensurate with experience. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including but not limited to cash bonuses.
