Job description

Epsilon Systems Solutions has an opening for a Senior Deck Equipment Technician III in San Diego, CA. Summary: This position will provide both classroom and shipboard practical maintenance training on deck equipment on all classes of Surface ships within the Pacific Fleet operating area. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in conducting a systems-knowledge Pre-Test evaluation for assigned systems for Ship's Force attending training.
Assists in providing classroom training on theory and systems operation and maintenance practices and procedures.
Assists in providing deck-plate practical training period (dependent on the ship class and system size) using live system operation and preventative maintenance actions as a training opportunity.
Assists in conducting system knowledge Post-Test evaluation for the Ship's Force personnel attending training.
Assists ship's force in performing necessary adjustments, repairs and testing to components and equipment IAW NAVSEA technical manuals guidance, ICMP, and PMS.
Provides recommendations for correction of deficiencies. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma
Twelve (12) years' experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval deck equipment required including:
Six (6) years' experience in a position of supervisory responsibility over a subordinate work force involved in the physical maintenance and operation of deck systems.
One (1) year of experience as a technical instructor
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $32.30 to $35.00 Per Hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. ADA: Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise.
Must have manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, assemble small objects.
Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships). Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight.
