Job description

Description Background Information: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) , provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Senior Program Manager within the Distributed Maritime and Network Operations (DM&NO) Business Area to be based in our San Diego, CA headquarters office. Overview: The Senior Program Manager position will lead a multi-discipline engineering and administrative support team focused on the US Navy's Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiatives to support the deployment of new tactical capability for Naval platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of on-time and on-budget solutions which meet or exceed customer expectations. The Senior Program Manager will be the primary customer interface, lead a multi-disciplined engineering team, be responsible for maintaining schedule and cost objectives for each project, and lead stakeholder management of IDT's US Navy customer. In addition, the Senior Program Manager will ensure logical and systematic elicitation and conversion of the customer's business and stakeholder requirements into solution requirements that use IDT technologies and account for scope, schedule, and cost constraints. All applicants must have an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance. Responsibilities Include: Lead and manage the scope, schedule, and cost of contracts while ensuring the delivery of compelling value to customers using IDT technologies Serve as primary interface with customers; educate customers and enable the incorporation of IDT capabilities into operational environments Develop, track, and manage project and staffing plans across multiple projects Evaluate project status to ensure progress toward program objectives and make decisions as required to redirect activities to meet customer requirements Ensure projects deliver solutions which meet contractual requirements and customer expectations including technical performance, quality, schedule, and cost Support the implementation of Agile software development workflows and processes Develop and execute on business and product strategy to ensure the growth and success of programs Support proposal development and cost estimating for follow-on work and proposals Engage effectively with IDT senior management Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master's preferred 10+ years of experience in DoD management as either an operator, manager, or executive Required Skills: Knowledge of U.S. Defense marketplace with particular emphasis on complex DoD weapon systems, operations, communications, and acquisition processes Demonstrated ability to establish executive-level relationships with DoD representatives and DoD contractor organizations A strong personal commitment to helping the DoD transition to effective software development, test and deployment processes Proven track record of performance within the DoD sector Ability to travel approximately 10% Preferred Skills: Large DoD program management experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certified Government contracts experience Experience with Federal Government contracts or equivalent Knowledge of Earned Value Management Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools Competencies: Strong character, integrity, leadership, and team-oriented behavior Strong strategic thinking skills, creative thinking, interpersonal and communication skills An insatiable desire to learn, grow, discover and apply new technology to big problems The humility to take on immense challenges and succeed at things you don't yet fully understand Pay Range : $100,000 - $190,000 or $180,000 - $250,000 Pursuant to California Senate Bill 1162 , IDT is required to disclose the "pay scale" or "pay range" associated with a job posting. Notably, however, this amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate's experience, skills, and education.
