LOCATION: San Diego, California (Old Town)
STATUS: Immediately Available
SALARY: $60k with Comprehensive Benefit Package
SSC: Active Secret Security Clearance (required)
Certificate: Forklift Certificate will be needed for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment - current valid certificate is desired

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DEL REY Systems & Technology, Inc. is seeking a fast-learning Shipping and Receiving Clerk to provide warehouse support for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) program which is comprised of the following systems such as the Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System - Next Generation (NITES-NEXT), Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System - IV (NITES-IV), Meteorological Mobile Facility (Replacement) Next Generation (METMF(R) NEXGEN), and Hazardous Weather Detection and Display Capability (HWDDC). Responsibilities Include: • Supporting shipping and receiving department • Processing DRMO parts and physical movements of materials • Transporting parts for repair and pick-up repaired parts from both local and outside vendors • Conducting physical inventory • Assisting Engineers in installing, pick-up and transport of radar, antenna, large containers, and communications materials. • Housekeeping of warehouses; shredding of old documents • Driving forklift and golf cart to deliver and pick-up materials Required Qualifications: • Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one. • Ability to accurately handle and verify shipments, ensuring that all items are accounted for and correctly processed • Efficiently managing inventory, organizing shipments, and keeping accurate records • Familiarity with inventory management software, spreadsheets, and basic office applications • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations for inventory and shipping calculations • Ability to lift and move heavy packages, stand for long periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks • Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers, customers, and team members • Ability to resolve issues that may arise during shipping or receiving processes, such as discrepancies or damaged goods COMPANY OVERVIEW DEL REY Systems & Technology, Inc.
