Job Title: Systems Engineer II
Location: Naval Health Research Center, Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, California About the Role
3 Reasons Consulting, LLC (3RC) is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer II to provide onsite technical support at the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) located at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego, CA. This role involves customer service and technical support to maintain and enhance the WRNMMC desktop computing environment, including troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware and software issues in a DoD or government setting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with extensive experience in Microsoft Operating Systems and customer support in a Microsoft environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and systems via phone, email, and chat.
Resolve computer software and hardware issues, escalating unresolved issues to Tier III technicians or the GSC as needed.
Act as an escalation point for moderate to complex technical issues, specializing in specific aspects of the technology to aid end users.
Provide support for peak times, including overflow calls and reduced staffing periods.
Perform troubleshooting for PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Use ServiceNow for ticket management, ensuring responses meet established SLAs.
Maintain and update SOPs and service catalogs for software installation, hardware configuration, and problem troubleshooting, establishing protocols for complex issues.
Obtain user feedback for workspace development and maintain accurate government asset inventories.
Conduct CAC unblocking and serve as Entitlement Manager if assigned.
Ensure compliance with command training and employment requirements, following all relevant policies and guidelines.
Collaborate with team leads, reporting to the Team Lead(s) and Branch Chief.
Engage in functions, meetings, customer service initiatives, and process improvement as directed.
Participate in the orientation, training, and evaluation of new team members, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Certification: IAT II Level Certification and Security+ CE.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software in a DoD or government setting, including:
Complex support in a Microsoft desktop and customer support environment within large critical settings.
Experience in workstation maintenance and support, including peripherals.
Skills: Current working knowledge of desktop Microsoft Operating Systems and software utilized within DoD/Government offices. Additional Responsibilities:
Support compliance with medical facility (MTF) safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Provide assistance across other work units temporarily as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in computerized systems, including ServiceNow, DMHRSi, and clinical/business systems.
Complete bi-weekly workload documentation in DMHRSi. Clearance Requirement
