Job description

About Us

Cynch is a fast-growing, AI startup on a mission to empower small businesses. We combine reasoning, machine learning, and generative AI to help business owners make better financial decisions. We are a team of experienced AI scientists, engineers, and operators passionate about the financial well-being of individuals and businesses, and we look for people who share that passion.

About the Job

The Business Operations team solves some of our most challenging problems. We are a small, high impact team that works across all functions of the business, from product and engineering to tax and customer support.

As a Business Operations Manager, you will work on a variety of mission critical projects while driving the operations of part of the business. You will monitor key metrics, make sure work is flowing efficiently, and quickly move to solve problems. One week you might be running technology vendor selection for one of our core business systems. The next, you might be redesigning our client onboarding process.

What You'll Do

Learn the business: You will embed yourself in various teams across the business, getting into the details, and learning about key issues to identify the biggest points of leverage.

Identify problems: You will monitor the operations of the business, keeping an eye on business metrics, and spotting issues before they become big problems.

Define solutions: You will collaborate with leaders across product, engineering, tax and accounting, and operations to develop, test, and iterate on new solutions - from processes to new products.

Deliver impact: You will lead projects through the full cycle, executing to ensure successful change and outcomes at scale.

Ad hoc analytical and operational support: You will support leaders across the company on ad hoc projects and ongoing operations.

Requirements

Experienced: you have 5+ years of experience in an analytical and operational role.

Insatiably curious: if something doesn't make sense to you, you won't stop until it does. You can quickly grasp concepts in new domains.

Pragmatic: you balance short-term needs with long-term thinking.

Analytical: you are probably an expert in Excel and take a data-informed approach to everything you do.

Exceptional communicator: you distill complex topics into clear, rationalized recommendations. You can build relationships and drive change.

Bonus Points

Experience at a rapid growth, B2B tech company

Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., healthcare or financial services)

Experience with SQL

Benefits

Competitive salary

Comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
