Job description

The Professional Lending Group provides leverage to employees of Private Equity firms and firms with a partnership structure for their equity purchase or fund investment needs. We create a customized loan program with each firm and then work with individual borrowers to extend credit. Our business model is based on capturing as much of the firm and client banking relationship beyond just our product, so providing an exemplary client experience is essential to our success. The Capital Call and Distribution (CC&D) Specialist is responsible for facilitating CC&D transactions, responding to firm inquiries, and conveying transaction needs internally. This person will work directly with firms to ensure transactions are prepared, reviewed, executed, and monitored in a timely manner. They will also communicate deadlines/needs with internal partners. The ideal candidate understands that client service is the core of our business model, is detail oriented, is comfortable going above and beyond stated job requirements when special scenarios arise and is comfortable explaining confidential financial information and loan documentation. Pay Range: $84,878.04- $112,463.40- $140,048.77

  • Review, prepare, and transact on CC&D requests
  • Review lending documents to ensure transaction requests fall within established guidelines
  • Communicate deadlines and respond to inquiries from internal teams and external client firms
  • Investigate, analyze and resolve CC&D transaction discrepancies working with multiple internal teams and utilizing various system tools
  • Verify beneficiary wire instructions
  • Presenting CC&D services to client firms
  • Monitor and respond to requests from the CC& D inbox
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, as needed

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs reconciliations, special projects, systems/tool maintenance, coverage of out of office team members, and additional duties/responsibilities as required
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Discovers and implements process improvements
  • Reviews and updates procedure manuals
  • Train new team members on CC&D processes and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: College, Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) or advanced degree, in business, finance, or related field
  • Minimum experience required: 5+ Years in financial services or data analysis required, 2+ years of Private Equity Analysis or Fund Accounting experience
  • Understanding of private equity fund finance including capital calls, distributions, and fair market value; as well as loan mechanics including interest rate calculations, credit types, loan to value ratios, debt to income ratios, advance rates, and amortization calculation
  • Able to diagnose system/process weaknesses and recommend improvements
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple deadlines, and communicating across teams
  • Must be comfortable talking to clients and have impeccable email etiquette
  • No specific certifications or technical expertise required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Advanced Degree (Masters or greater)
  • Credit Analysis experience
  • Experience creating and executing SQL database queries

Job Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, comfortable using pivot tables, functions, and formulas
  • Advanced familiarity with Word, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Comfortable reviewing and explaining financial transactions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in person
  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct thorough due diligence
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environment and balancing multiple deadlines
  • No travel requirements
  • Physical demands (ADA): The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting
