Position Description

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS (ON CALL)

SCHOOL YEAR

Substitute teachers provide classroom support for grades K-8. They must be flexible and willing to take on last minute duties as needed. Substitute teachers sometimes have sole responsibility for a classroom; sometimes they share the duties with another teacher.

Responsibilities

Actively engage with students in classroom activities

Use effective classroom management strategies

Implement lesson plans as needed

Supervise students at recess and lunch

Use technology as needed

Maintain the tidiness of the classroom

Relevant teaching experience working in a school setting

TB Test (the school will reimburse any costs)

Fingerprinting (the school covers the costs)

Benefits
