Title: Sr. Principal FP&A, AirCover

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

Duties:

The Platform, Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Principal will work closely with the AirCover team primarily in supporting strategic efforts to identify and drive financial efficiencies related to cost reduction opportunities. The ideal candidate is expected to be a strong cross-functional business partner and a demonstrated self-starter that can roll up their sleeves to deliver insights and improve upon existing financial processes.

This role will report to the Director of Finance, Aircover.

This role will be central to the AirCover cross-functional team, providing product and operations, among other teams, with strategic guidance to:

Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and continuously optimize driver based financial models to be used for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, monthly/quarterly close, long-range planning, and P&L management. Evaluate and synthesize analytical insights, perform rigorous financial analysis, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive operational excellence.

Deliver Business Analyses and Insights: Partner with Business Leads to translate data/trends into actionable insights to achieve long term business objectives and financial goals primarily centered around lowering program costs. Deliver insights into strong narratives appropriate for senior executive consumption.

Drive Analytical Rigor: Develop a deep foundational understanding of key levers influencing program costs and identify/recommend potential cost savings in partnership with business teams. Create a framework to clearly identify root causes of material variances vs. historical trends with actional next steps as needed.

Skills:

Requirements and Qualifications

B.A. or B.S. from an accredited four-year college or university

12+ years of relevant experience ideally with prior experience managing Insurance or Customer service products. Must have an analytical background in financial modeling, strategy consulting, business operations, investment banking, product management, or have been in a similar embedded internal consultancy role

Prior experience in conducting cost benefit analysis including identifying, tracking, and measuring cost saving opportunities.

Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to put together clear, compelling narratives that are appropriate for consumption by senior executives including the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders

Proficiency with financial forecasting systems (Oracle, Anaplan, Hyperion)

Strong knowledge of SQL or some other querying language and using those tools to help synthesize complex information is a plus
