Hope Services has an exciting opportunity for a talented Human Resources Generalist! Salary commensurate with experience. Work location flexibility - can be San Jose, Santa Clara, or Mountain View.
About the Human Resources Generalist position:
Salary Range: $5,800.00-$6,200.00 per month commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Summary The Human Resources Generalist performs operational duties within Human Resources including end stage recruiting, on-boarding, document reviews, notices to employees and off-boarding as needed. Works with HRBP on special projects as assigned, and answers questions from district employees as they arise. Acts as HR representative to employees in the absence of an HRBP Essential Functions of the Human Resources Generalist role: The following responsibilities represent the essential functions of the Human Resources Generalist position. 1. Implementation of employee wage and benefit programs, policies, procedures and agency employee retention efforts. 2. Assures compliance with all State and Federal employment laws. Monitors and advises department managers on employment documentation issues. 3. Conducts and arranges for required annual and on-going employee training. Assures accurate management of renewal certifications as required. 4. Performs recruitment functions for agency staffing. Coordinates agency advertising, assures accurate posting and screening of applicants. 5. Assures appropriate implementation of the Union Bargaining Agreement. May be point of contact for localized grievances and internal investigations. 6. Review employee resignations and conduct exit interviews. Makes recommendations to hiring managers, assures screening and documentation requirements for applicants and new hires meet all regulatory requirements. 7. Provide support and resources for ongoing staff training and new employee orientation. Train and coach managers and supervisors in screening, interviewing and hiring and required training. 8. Attend and participate in staff meetings of assigned region and assigned agency committees providing staff support and making presentations and reports as needed. 9. May perform other duties as assigned. Human Resources Generalist - Non-Essential Functions: Assists with HR adjacent and other administrative tasks for Program Director with input from the HRBP or HR Director Human Resources Generalist - Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: A four-year college degree in Human Resources or a related field plus 2 years of management level experience, or an approved combination of education and experience.
Human Resources Generalist - Required Knowledge and Skills: 1. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS systems 2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 3. Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and practices. 4. Ability to interact effectively with individuals, groups and diverse populations. 5. Excellent oral and written communications. 6. Ability to analyze data and produce reports. 7. Ability to lead and manage change. 8. Ability to remain calm and assist others during stressful situations. Environmental Conditions An enclosed office environment. Time spent sitting, using a computer station, periods of intense concentration, using the telephone, computer and performing paperwork. Time spent in meetings, travel to various work site locations throughout three counties. Some exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Do you have what it takes to make a difference?
