ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform failure analysis on HDD media, both finished or at various stages in the process, to identify the root cause of defects found

Collaborate with lab analysts/technicians to identify the root cause of failure, generate clear and concise failure analysis reports, and assist process engineering teams address the root cause of failures

Collaborate with global failure analysis team members, as well as process engineers, to capture common defect observations and drive defect reduction improvements

Develop failure analysis processes and capabilities required for next-generation products and unique failure events

Innovate failure analysis methodologies and techniques to improve TAT and accuracy.
