Job description

Accounting Manager is needed for a contract opportunity with our Entertainment client located in San Mateo, California.

Job Details
Duration: 8 months contract ( Temporary Leave Coverage)
Location: Hybrid in San Mateo,CA - Must be local
Pay rate: $58.75 - $88.16/hr
Start date: End of October/Early November

Client is not able to sponsor visas or Corp to Corp

Responsibilities

• Responsible for facilitating month-end close for Accounting team to ensure milestones are achieved.
• Reviewing month-end financial reporting packages and quarterly footnotes.
• Review and approve non-SAP TB upload entities.
• Manage intercompany process, review monthly intercompany transactions and invoicing journal entries, and resolve intercompany imbalances.
• Review and approve month-end consolidation tasks.
• Facilitate monthly financial review meetings for Accounting and Planning teams.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly executive summaries.
• Work closely with auditors to coordinate quarter-end audit requests.
• Present quarterly financial updates to auditors.
• Review quarterly fluctuation analyses for auditors.
• Perform completeness check of monthly reconciliations.
• Support financial compliance (Internal & External Audit, Controls, and Procedures).

Qualification

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounting, both private and public accounting a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related discipline.
• CPA or International Equivalent, with SOX experience required.
• Experience of general ledger and monthly close process desirable.
• US GAAP knowledge.
• SAP experience desirable but not essential.
• Excellent skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience working across a global business within multi-cultural working environment.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excels in the areas of written and oral communication

Desired Qualifications

• Digital content & services or entertainment industry preferred.
• Excels in the areas of written and oral communication including strong presentation skills.

Estimated Min Rate: $58.75
Estimated Max Rate: $88.16
