The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Surgical Solutions Account Manager , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Effectively managing assigned territory; working as a sales professional towards sales goals and quotas and establishing self-directed sales coverage with manager's assistance.
  • Best practices evidence-based clinical training and demonstrations for both internal and external customers on products, applications, systems, and procedures.
  • Representing our products and services to hospitals, surgeons, nurses and other clinical decision makers to drive utilization and adoption.
  • Program implementation of local medical education and other clinical education partnering with medical education and clinical specialists teams.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND four (4) years of sales experience in a private, public and government environment

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND Eight (8) years of sales experience in a private, public and government environment

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Three (3) years of combined experience in medical devices and/or healthcare in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Current, valid Driver's License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience working in the operating room/surgical setting.
  • Developing and managing relationships with key clinical decision makers including physicians, wound care nurses, physician assistants, infectious disease specialists, operating room staff, anesthesiologists, and others in the acute care setting.
  • Presenting and reinforcing 3M products and solutions to the appropriate new product committees/value analysis teams.
  • Creating a comprehensive territory plan to drive goals and sales quota attainment.
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional team collaboration with internal team members to provide best-in-class customer support.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Work location: Remote/ In Sales Territory of

Travel: 70% day travel within territory / 20% overnight travel (for meetings)
