We are hiring a Research Scientist, R&D. The Research Scientist Conducts research under the direction of a supervisor leading to the development of new or improved products.

Responsibilities

Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements.

Formulate and prepare reagents and cell culture media.

Perform various chemical/biological assays.

Perform basic data analysis and generate summary data reports.

Assist in experimental design.

Assist in preparation of formal reports and presentations.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills/Education

Ph.D. or M.S. in Biology or related fields required. Qualified M.S. candidates should have at least 5 years of industry experience in a Cell Therapy setting.

Prior experience in aseptic cell culture of mammalian cells is required.

Demonstrated ability in writing scientific content is required.

Prior experience in the use of a flow cytometer is preferred.

Prior experience in cell-based assays is preferred.

Prior experience in Cell Therapy/Immunology is preferred

Good general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.

Good working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)

Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures.

General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.

Salary and Benefits:

For California, the base salary range for this position is $(phone number removed) annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
