Job description

Valle Verde is looking for an Activity Coordinator, responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities and events for our residents in our Memory Support. This role involves creating a stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.

Part-Time,

Sunday and Monday, 3 P.M.- 7 P.M., or 4 P.M.- 8 P.M.

Pay Range: $22.50-$28.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement various activities and events tailored to the interests and needs of our residents.
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities, including games, outings, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and events.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for participants.
  • Assist residents with mealtime
  • Experience/Training - 2 or more years of direct programming experience with older adults. 1 or 2 years of experience, preferably in a geriatric setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
