We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity
- Recommend future maintenance requirements and advise clients on proper vehicle use
- Repair or replace broken, damaged or missing parts and repair issues (e.g.leaks)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs on work and issues, including warranty concerns
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
- Diagnose issues based on drivers' descriptions and vehicle performance
- Keep up-to-date with developments in automotive technology to ensure continuing innovation and efficiency
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
- Ensure health and safety practices are observed in all tasks and procedures
- Communicate with clients about vehicle problems, diagnostic tests, and repairs
- Collaborate with other repair team members to ensure the timely completion of services

Requirements:
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- ASE certification preferred (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and shop equipment
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to read and understand complex technical manuals and schematics
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces
- Valid driver's license
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical individuals
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
- Basic computer and reporting skills
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continuous education and training

Compensation:
The Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $25 and $50
