An award winning teaching hospital is searching for a strong, experienced Obstetrics Clinical Nurse Manager to lead this tenured department in the beautiful rural Northern California.

The Obstetrics Clinical Nurse Manager will join an amazing non-profit teaching hospital that has been recognized as one of America's best hospitals for patient satisfaction. This 160+ bed facility s goal is to enhance quality patient care within it's community.

As the Nurse Manager of OB, you will provide strong leadership to the team, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration. You will manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to uphold the highest patient care standards. Your top priority will be to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to expectant mothers and their families while implementing best practices and evidence-based guidelines for positive patient outcomes. You will mentor, coach, and support the nursing staff, fostering professional growth and conducting performance evaluations to enhance team performance. Additionally, you will lead quality improvement initiatives within the labor and delivery unit, monitoring key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards by developing and updating policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective care environment.

The Obstetrics Clinical Nurse Manager is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Preoperative Nursing and Patient Care. The Manager will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff. The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the Manager will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance.
