We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Transportation Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of logistics, including quoting, booking shipments, customs clearance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities:

Quoting and Booking:

Handle the quoting and booking of shipments.

Secure all necessary documents for import customs clearance.

Communication and Updates:

Keep internal customers informed about the status of each shipment.

Ensure timely and accurate communication to stakeholders.

Daily communication and contact with customer, carriers, internal staff to coordinate inventory, booking, pickup, tracking and proof of delivery with appropriate documentation to ensure effective operations

Support Operation:

Book, track, and trace cargo from supplier to destination (FTL/LTL/AIR/PARCEL)

Provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot/resolve all events from booking to delivery in a timely way

Perform activities to meet customer satisfaction and share business information with related parties through regular contact (i.e., phone, email)

Monitor account issues and communicate/liaison with management to implement/drive solutions

Monitor trends and report changes to Management for action

Strategic Planning:

Develop plans to align organizational objectives with achievable targets.

Work towards meeting leadership expectations in terms of logistics efficiency.

Suggest recommendations when changes are needed in current processes

Analyze service and cost data for recommendations or actions for business improvement and customer satisfaction

Reporting & Filing:

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to provide comprehensive shipment status.

Analyze data and provide insights to improve logistics processes.

Maintain essential account documentation with up to date information and ensuring that it is collated and stored so as to be readily accessible

Reporting as needed (Service failure report, claim/damage report, others)

Accurate data entry into Cello and other systems as needed

Coordination with Service Providers:

Coordinate with logistics service providers on vessel schedules.

Manage documentation and ensure timely payments with the accounting department.

Follow and update SOP/work instructions to ensure operational best practice in line with customer requirements and operational compliance

Requirements

2+ years of experience in FTL/LTL Dispatching or Operations or Ocean/Drayage/Freight Forwarding

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred

Ability to analyze service and cost data for recommendations or actions for business improvement and customer satisfaction

Organized with ability to manage multiple projects, while paying close attention to detail

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; solution minded

Great interpersonal skills, with ability to work to directly with customers

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Works well under pressure and has a sense of urgency

Highly self-motivated with minimal supervision needed

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

Open to learning other modes of transportation as needed

Experience with NAFTA/USMCA cross border transportation preferred

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $32.00 $36.00/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
