Position Summary

The Associate Scientist will help develop TCR-based immunotherapies for solid tumors within the Translational Sciences group. The Associate Scientist's work will support clinical biospecimen characterization and data quality control for clinical sample processing. You will be based onsite in Santa Monica, CA and report to a Scientist. We have multiple positions for candidates at various stages of their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical biospecimen characterization, data analysis, and reporting of results in the form of presentations or written reports, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform peer data audits and monitor data quality, in compliance with in-house and regulatory standards across multiple clinical programs.
  • Collaborate with other Translational team members to ensure seamless data flow and reporting to address any discrepancies.
  • Support design and qualification of cell-based functional assays.
  • Document laboratory procedures and results with accuracy in an electronic laboratory notebook.
  • Review and author SOPs, qualification reports, and other documents.
  • Analyze, organize, and communicate results at different research and team meetings. Participate in project teams and work cross-functionally to ensure alignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors with a minimum of 5 years or Master's with minimum of 2 years with a degree in immunology, cellular or tumor biology or in a relevant discipline with related lab or industry experience.
  • Background in immunology or immunotherapy.
  • Well-versed in cell culture aseptic techniques, multi-color flow cytometry (10+ colors), PCR, MSD/ELISA, or other cellular assays. Experience with spectral flow cytometry.
  • Familiarity with working with large datasets and with associated data analysis and visualization software (i.e. Cytobank/OMIQ/FCS Express, Tableau/Spotfire/JMP).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $120,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related experience. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and we reserve the right to modify base salary (and any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
